Recently I purchased some clothes for my 4 year old on a website - She helped me pick out her clothes but also noticed that the site sold tutu's and dance wear and has since demanded that she learns ballet.

I will buy her the tutu dress anyway - but realistically, is 4 too young to go to a class?

Hi there.
I think that 4 years old is about right for ballet classes, especially if she wants to do them. My own daughter started dancing as soon as she could walk and went to a "fun" toddler class initially at 2 but started at an RAD approved ballet school in the "pre-primary" classes at 4. Now she is 16 and goes to The Dance School Of Scotland.

I hope this helps and your daughter loves her ballet classes whenever she goes.
