After watching Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing On Ice, we've been wondering about which celebrities we'd like to see trying to learn ballet on tv! Personally, we'd like to see Will Young give it a go, but we'd love to hear your suggestions for which celebrities you'd like to see doing ballet and why.

I think Cheryl Cole could be good. Then she could teach the rest of Girls Aloud how to dance - lol!! And I wouldn't mind seeing David Beckham in tights!

I'd much rather see real people trying out ballet on TV than watch plastic, fake celebrities predictably playing up to the camera.

What was that documentary with teenagers dancing roles in 'Romeo and Juliet'? .... or the builders (shipyard workers?) putting on specially choreographed piece. I'd much rather see more real people like that have a go at ballet than boring celebs.

That would be way more interesting, inspirational and entertaining

This interests me because in the USA an interesting linkage is occurring between the Swing dance community and the ballet community with many ballet dancers doing WCS for recreation.

Scotland has one of the UK's most flourishing Swing dance communites

At Swing dance events in Scotland its customary for dance professionals from dance disciplines to be invited to showcase thier dance form as often happens in the USA.

Here is an Argentine Tango showcase in Glasgow for Leroc. . . . . .

Here is a ballet showcase at a Swing event in the USA. . . .

The same dancer in competion.

Great way to introduce ballet to a wider audience. . . .

Other Ballet dancers doing swing. . . . .
